BJP government is committed to upliftment of women and poor: Rajasthan CM

Jaipur, September 30 (IANS) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the state government is committed to the upliftment of villages, farmers, women and poor.

Speaking at the laying and inaugural ceremony of the Foundation Stone of Development Projects under Seva Pakhwada at Jetter, Beaver, he described the fortnight—over campaign as a powerful medium to ensure good governance, access public facilities and ensure overall development for all citizens.

The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Seva Pakhwara, organized from September 17, shows the vision of “Saba Sixty, Saba Vikas, Saba Viswas, Saba Prayer”. To ensure the benefits of government schemes, rural and urban service camps have been organized as a statewide to reach the weaker sections of the society.

“In rural camps, citizens are provided assistance with connection with land registration, lease, girhadhari, kurjat, name transfer, certificate, and welfare schemes. Urban camps focus on road and drainage repair, beautification, business license, construction approval, tax payment and EWS certificate,” he said.

So far, 4,121 rural camps have helped to complete around 53,000 names and complete 54,000 reforms, which have been distributed to more than 82,000 crop insurance policies under the Pradhan Mantri Crop Bima Yojana, and have resolved more than 78,000 pending NFSA cases.

More than 64,000 ownership leases and 85,000 Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana Animal Insurance have also been issued. Urban camps have given 8,000 leases and 42,000 certificates.

He said that the government has acquired historical milestones in energy, infrastructure and employment.

Farmers of 22 districts now get electricity during the day. Projects like Ramjal Setu Link Project, Yamuna Water Agreement and Energy Initiatives – including Banswara nuclear plant – are changing the development scenario of Rajasthan.

So far, 91,000 youth have been employed in government jobs, with 154,000 posts process, while private sector opportunities are growing through Rs 4 lakh crore investment projects.

Highlighting the social initiative under PM Modi, Sharma praised Campaigns such as Swachh Bharat, Bathi Bachao Bedi Padho and environmental awareness efforts, given that Rajasthan has planted 19 crore trees in two years as part of the 50 crore tree plantation target.

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister emphasized the historical and cultural heritage of Jeton and confirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive development and public service, unveiling projects worth Rs 362 crore for the region.
