BJP ally TMP, Congress, CPM Slam government were not invited to PM Modi’s program

AARAartala, 22 September (IANS) ruling BJP ally Tipra Motha Party (TMP), Opposition Congress and CPI (M) on Monday strongly criticized the BJP government for not being invited for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program in Tripura.

Completing the expectation of a long -awaited public, PM Modi on Monday inaugurated the redevelopment Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Paths revered by Hindus in Udaipur, South Tripura. Under the Pacific of the Union Ministry of Tourism (pilgrimage rejuvenation and spiritual heritage increase drive), the 524 -year -old Tripura Sundari Temple has been redeveloped at a cost of over Rs 54 crore.

TMP leaders and MLAs criticized the BJP government for not inviting him to the Prime Minister’s program in the state on Monday. Senior TMP leader and party MLA Ranjit Debbarma said that the state government has not invited any party leader and MLA, or even party supremo Pridot Bikram Manikya Debbarma a former royal scone.

He said that the 524 -year -old Tripura Sundari Temple, 1501, was built in Udaipur by King Maharaja Dhanya Manikya, but any of the royal family members, including the presided Bikram Manikya Debarma, were invited to the historic incident on Monday.

“The Tripura Sundari Temple is associated with tribal culture and traditions, but no tribal leader was seen in the Prime Minister’s program,” Deberma told the media and described “unfortunate development as a black day for the state”.

The tribal leader said that such indifferent attitude will harm unity between tribals and non-tribals in the state. Deberma said that on 15 October 1949, the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple owned the ‘Tripura merger agreement’ between Kanchan Prabha Devi, then Regent Maharani and Governor General, near the Manikya dynasty.

After signing a tripartite agreement with the Center and the Government of Tripura on March 2 last year, after one year busyness for a year, the then opposition TMP with 13 MLAs in the state on March 7 last year added a new twist to Tripura politics in the BJP -led coalition government on March 7 last year. Two TMP MLAs – Animesh Debbarma and Brishketu Deberma – were included in the ministry under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manik Saha.

Leader of Opposition Party (LOP) Jitendra Chaudhary, who is CPI (M) Tripura State Secretary and Congress Working Committee member Sudeep Roy Burman, slammed the BJP government to not be invited to the Prime Minister’s program.

A former minister and former MP, Chaudhary said that the BJP has no democratic spirit and considers everything on a narrow party line.

Roy Burman said in a Facebook post that Modi is the Prime Minister of the country; The identity of any political party applies here. “He (Modi) came today to inaugurate the new redevelopment architecture of Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in the state. In such a program, the ruling party and the state government completely discouraged; neither the MLAs of other parties nor any leader of the opposition party were invited to the ceremony,” Congress leader said.

He said, “A party that can also play politics on Goddess Mata Tripura Sundari, has already revealed her real image for people. I condemn the ruling party and the government for such a one-world attitude.”

Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, Chief Minister Manik Saha, former Chief Minister and Lok Sabha member Biplab Kumar Deb, BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Rajab Bhattacharjee and other leaders and senior officials were with the Prime Minister during his visit to the temple.
