Patna, Oct 18 (IANS) Participating in the Bihar Assembly election campaign, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday expressed confidence that the BJP will achieve excellent results in the upcoming elections, saying the people of Bihar will never allow the return of ‘Jungle Raj’ and will only vote for development ensured by the BJP.

Addressing a massive public meeting organized for filing nominations for BJP candidates from Ramnagar and Bagaha assembly constituencies in Bihar, the Tripura Chief Minister said next month’s elections will see excellent results as proved by the turnout of people.

Saha, former Tripura state president of the BJP, said, “The people of Bihar will never allow jungle raj here again because they want development, which only the BJP can give.”

He claimed that the crowd itself is saying that the BJP candidate will win with huge votes.

“I want to thank everyone. There are 243 seats in Bihar and the elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11 and the results will be declared on the 14th.

I believe that, since Prime Minister Narendra Modi is with us, we can tell in advance what will happen on November 14. In Champaran, there are 9 seats, and BJP will win all the seats,” Saha said.

He predicted that this year’s results in Bihar will be excellent and said that people here are very excited.

He said that everyone in Champaran district knows that Mahatma Gandhi had started the Satyagraha movement from here.

People in Tripura also celebrate Bihar Day, he said, “In our state, many people from Bihar live. I have spent 5 years in Bihar at the Dental Medical College, Patna. It feels like I am at home. I have a lot of friends in Patna.”

Claiming that Bihar is the soul of India as many talents come from Bihar, the Chief Minister said, “We have Tripura Sundari Maa temple in Tripura, and I took blessings from there and came here so that we can win all the nine seats in Champaran.”

Tripura was once a state of terrorism and unrest. Then, in 2018, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state became free from CPI-M rule, he stressed.

“Now all the terrorists have surrendered, and Tripura is free from terrorism. All this became possible because of PM Modi,” he said and added that Tripura is now moving on the path of development.

Saha said that PM Modi has given HIRA (Highways, Internet, Railways, Airways) model of development to Tripura while making all-round development of the North-Eastern state.

He said that the people of Bihar are very knowledgeable.

Farmers of Bihar are also benefiting from central schemes. Saha said that Bihar has witnessed massive development in the last few years and this development should continue in the coming days also.

Tripura Chief Minister said that efforts are going on to make the country a developed India by 2047 and Bihar will play an important role in it.

“We know how there was jungle raj in Bihar during the time of Lalu Prasad Yadav and now Bihar has come out of that situation. People will not accept him again.”

Only BJP can guarantee development. Everyone should go early in the morning to vote for our BJP MLA candidates to take Bihar towards development,” he said.
