Bihar: Under Nari Gunjan initiative, Dalit women lead to self -reliance

Patna, 19 September (IANS) In a notable show of the liberation and empowerment of women, many women of the Mushar community – a very poor section of the Schedule Caste (SC) community adopted a new path of learning skills, which lays a strong foundation to achieve ‘self -sufficient’.

Six female members of the Mushar community from Danapur block in Patna successfully completed training in automobile repair skills and also reshuffled by tutors. These trained professionals are increasing new heights and are now ready to run pink buses.

The initiative was initiated by Nari Gunjan, an organization working towards women’s education and self -sufficiency.

The girls were honored at the closing ceremony held at the campus in Lokothi, Danapur.

On this occasion, Secretary Vandana Priyasi in the Government of Bihar congratulated all the students, wished them a bright future.

“Determination and dedication with which Nari Gunjan has shown the path of self -sufficiency for the daughters of the Mushar community, is extremely inspiring. These girls have proved that, given the opportunity, every girl can demonstrate her talent and ability.”

All the students came from a humble background from various villages in Patna and nearby districts.

This training conducted from 18 August to 16 September saw him training in several aspects of automobile skill development.

For the Nari Gunjan, launched in 1987, Nari Gunjan served as a beach of hope and empowerment for the most disadvantaged Mushar community at the ground level.

The main goal of the organization is the upliftment of the poorest among the poor, landless and rural women, who have historically faced economic lack, social discrimination, political neglect and cultural invisibility.

This initiative of Nari Gunjan has given a new example for social change and economic empowerment through education.
