Patna, Nov 6 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the RJD-Congress led grand alliance and accused them of ruining the state with their ‘jungle raj’ even though Bihar has been the birthplace of social justice in the past decades.
Addressing a massive rally in Araria district, the Prime Minister invoked ‘Chhathi Maiya’ to lambast the opposition and rejected their attempt to mock Bihar’s holiest festival by associating it with a drama.
“Will you accept someone referring to Chhathi Maiya as drama, will you accept someone insulting Chhathi Maiya?” PM Modi asked, to which the crowd present reacted strongly.
PM Modi also criticized ‘Naamdaars’, a reference to dynastic leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav and their ‘disrespect and disrespect’ towards the Maha Kumbh as well as Lord Ram.
He said Namdar used to make fun of the Maha Kumbh – a month-long festival that sees crores of pilgrims taking a holy dip in Prayagraj and devotees coming from all over the world.
PM Modi said, “They do not hesitate to take a dig at our spiritual beliefs. They do not believe in Lord Ram, they did not go to Ayodhya, they did not attend Pran Pratistha.”
He said, “You may dislike Lord Ram, but why can’t you go to Ayodhya and take blessings of Maharishi Valmiki, Mata Sabari, Nishad Raj… Temples dedicated to them are also built in the surrounding area.”
The Prime Minister said that this shows that he hates the backward population as well as Dalits; However, for NDA its sole objective is the empowerment and upliftment of all communities.
He further tried to draw a comparison between RJD’s jungle raj and NDA’s progressive rule, saying that the future of an entire generation was destroyed because of them.
Highlighting the legacy of Jungle Raj, he said, “In 15 years of Jungle Raj, zero highways, zero bridges were built, zero sports complexes were built, zero tourist circuits were developed.”
In contrast, PM Modi said that the NDA government worked tirelessly to bring Bihar out of jungle raj.
“After the formation of the double engine government in 2014, Bihar’s development has got a new impetus. IIT has been opened in Patna, IIM has been opened in Bodhgaya, AIIMS has been opened in Patna, work on AIIMS Darbhanga is progressing rapidly, now Bihar also has a National Law University, IIIT in Bhagalpur, and four central universities have also been established in Bihar,” PM Modi said while giving details of the development work done during the decade-long rule of the double engine government. Said while giving.
