Patna, October 28 (IANS) The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led grand alliance on Tuesday released its manifesto for the Bihar assembly elections. The highlight of the manifesto is ‘Bihar ka Tejashwi Pran’ (Pledge of Tejashwi for Bihar) as it seeks to tell voters that the young and dynamic RJD leader will be the driving force of the Grand Alliance, even if he forms the next government in the poll-bound state.
Tejashwi, the CM face of the grand alliance, has already taken center stage in the elections with big promises of government job to every family and financial assistance under ‘Mai Bahin Maan Yojana’ for crores of women of the state.
The manifesto was released in a joint press conference in Patna. Apart from Tejashwi Yadav, VIP’s Mukesh Sahni, CPI (ML)’s Dipankar Bhattacharya, Congress leaders Pawan Kheda and Akhilesh Prasad Singh were present on the stage during the manifesto launch.
On the occasion of the manifesto launch, Tejashwi Yadav said, “We want to form the government, but its objective will be to make Bihar. It is a matter of happiness that we all together are presenting this resolution. This is our resolution. We will risk our lives to fulfill every resolution. We want to make a developed Bihar.”
He said that some external forces want to ‘colonize’ Bihar.
Taking aim at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said, “BJP is treating him like a puppet. After this election, BJP will not make him the Chief Minister.”
Tejashwi further said that ‘We have to make Bihar and take its reins in our hands.’
He said, “The people of Bihar are eager for change. This time the people want a government that provides jobs and employment.”
The former Deputy CM of Bihar further said that the state has had adverse development in the last 20 years, and it needs to be brought back on track.
He said that this manifesto includes all the issues that will make Bihar developed and will address the issues and concerns of every section of the society.
