Bengaluru, Nov 14 (IANS) Commenting on the NDA’s landslide victory in the Bihar elections, Karnataka BJP president and MLA BY Vijayendra on Friday said the voters of Bihar, through their decisive mandate, have given a befitting lesson to Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and the Congress over their ‘vote theft’ campaign.
BJP leader Vijayendra said, “The unprecedented victory in the Bihar Assembly elections has become a symbol of democratic success which reflects the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The voters of Bihar have also given the message that the NDA government led by the Prime Minister is indispensable for the country.”
The state BJP president said, “Under the leadership of BJP President JP Nadda, the coordinated campaign of the NDA alliance, the strategy of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the efficient administration of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have been appreciated by the people of Bihar, who have given an unprecedented historic mandate to the NDA.”
He said, “In this election, the voters of Bihar have taught a befitting lesson to the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress, which had attempted to commit fraud by falsely campaigning in the name of vote rigging. The Congress has now been pushed to a position where it will have to struggle for political survival on the political map of Bihar. The people of Bihar have shown the taste of defeat to the Grand Alliance, including the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). They have clearly responded that feudal style politics can no longer be tolerated.” “Will not be done.”
BJP leader Vijayendra said, “The people of Bihar have also shown that false propaganda has no place in a democratic system and appeasement and minority vote-bank politics have no future.”
“The Bihar election results have given a lesson to the Congress and other opposition parties across the country. People have warned that if the opposition does not conduct itself responsibly, they will not even be given the role of an opposition party,” he said.
In all the elections that Rahul Gandhi has conducted so far, Congress has faced series of defeats. Now, trapped in the whirlpool of losses, the Congress ship is sinking in the sea; Karnataka and Telangana have become an obstacle for Congress. Even in such a situation, the Congress-led government in Karnataka and its leaders, instead of thinking in a people-centric manner, have sidelined development work and are engaged in making careless statements about nationalist organizations.” Congress.
“At least now, after the Bihar election results, Congress leaders in Karnataka should learn a lesson. They should dedicate their remaining tenure for public welfare and repay their debt to the voters,” he alleged.
Former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, while addressing the gathering, said, “Bihar gives a clear and confident mandate to the NDA. Your trust strengthens our commitment to keep working towards development. Congratulations to PM Narendra Modi ji for his steady leadership and guidance.”
