Bihar: Political parties receive the final voter list; District leaders appreciated ECI

Patna, 30 September (IANS), after the publication of the final voter list of Bihar after the Election Commission of India, collected the hard and soft copies of the updated roll on Tuesday evening.

Meetings were called by the District Election Officers (DEOs) across the state to distribute the final data and address questions from party officials.

In Sitamari, RJD District President Gauhar Shamim confirmed that according to the draft role of August 1, 2025, there were 23,22,171 voters in the district, which has now increased to 24,49,659 after the final publication.

CPI-ML District Secretary Nayaaz Ahmed Siddiqui supported the data and welcomed the transparent process.

In a meeting in Gaya, CPI-ML District Secretary Niranjan Kumar said that the DEO handed over the final voter lists for all 10 assembly constituencies.

District Vice President of the Indian National Congress Sameer Anwar Khan shared gender-wise details, including 15,63,126 male voters, 14,06,273 female voters and 36 other voters in Gaya.

A similar review was held at the Bhojpur DEO office, where RJD, CPI-ML, JDU and Congress representatives were present.

RJD District Vice President, Manmohan Kumar alias Mantu Sharma said that all seven assembly constituencies have been included in the final list. CPI-ML Office Secretary, Dielder Kirat collected both hard and soft copies of the roll in the office of the District Headquarters DO Officer of Bhojpur, Ara.

Shambu Prasad Soni, JDU District Spokesperson, and Virendra Mishra, Congress Media In-charge, appreciated the Deo and by-election officials for an error-free, transparent and reliable exercise.

In Banka, RJD District President Nir Prasad Thakur confirmed the attainment of the updated voter role and thanked the DEO and Election Employees.

“After the final publication of an error-free and reliable voter list, we thank all Eros and Bloss for their efforts,” Thakur said.

The final Bihar voter list now consists of 7.42 crore voters, which added above 7.24 crores, 21.53 lakh names and 3.66 lakh names have been state-wide in the August draft.

The head process monitored by the Supreme Court was launched to remove duplicate and add eligible voters before the 2025 assembly elections.
