Patna, Bihar with 5 October (IANS) was set to get another operational airport in Muzaffarpur, in some time, it would improve air connectivity in other states from Hindi Heartland and will also make it an important milestone in the aviation club.
The airport building will be constructed on a pre-made steel structure and the tender process has begun for the same.
This has left the local residents a lot of joy and ecstasy as it will address their long -standing demands for the construction of direct connectivity with the major cities and commercial hubs of the country.
Local people in Muzaffarpur are working happily, as the tender process has started to include the airport in the Airport Authority of India (AAI). He said that this is an important achievement and had long waited.
The local people expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, saying, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done so. It will bring many suitability to the people here.”
A local woman Kanchan Mala told IANS, “When PM Modi visited Muzaffarpur, she talked about the construction of an airport. Now, plans have been made for its construction. It is a very good thing. Earlier, people had to visit Patna and Darbhanga, now it will be very convenient for the people.
Sahil Chaudhary said: “It is a matter of pride that an airport will soon be built in Muzaffarpur. Earlier, we had to cover a distance of about 100 kilometers to reach the airport. The construction of the airport will save time and improve connectivity. I will feel proud to hear about the news of building the airport in my hometown.”
Earlier, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced that an important project has been approved to modernize and upgrade the Muzaffarpur Airport. Under this project, the existing airport will be developed to safely operate code -2B aircraft.
