Bihar Minister Prashant Kishore rejects the claims of corruption

Patna, October 3 (IANS) Bihar Rural Affairs Minister Ashok Chaudhary on Friday dismissed the allegations of corruption against him by Prashant Kishore, the founder of Jan Suraj, saying that only the allegations do not guilty someone.

Talking to reporters in Patna, he said, “If anyone can prove that I have a land also, I am ready to become a slave to that person. My money is in a public domain, and anyone can verify it.”

He said, “If someone says that I am in partnership with Trump (Donald Trump), will anyone believe it? Let anyone prove that I or my family has a land or even assets worth Rs 1 crore. Any political career has ever ended due to allegations, and I will not have it either.”

Emphasizing his long political journey, the minister said, “I have been in politics since my student life. I worked as the state president of the Congress for more than four years and distributed tickets. In 2020, I was the executive president of JD (U). Those who think that they can end their career by just allegations.

In the defamation case, he filed against Prashant Kishore, Minister Chaudhary said that he had received Kishore’s reply and his legal team is investigating it.

Earlier, on 23 September, Ashok Chaudhary filed a defamation notice of Rs 100 crore against Kishore.

The minister had demanded an unconditional written and public forgiveness from the teenager within seven days, when he failed, he threatened a civil suit for criminal action and loss.

In response, Kishore criticized Ashok Chaudhary on 29 September, who criticized for collecting illegal assets worth Rs 200 crore and taking heavy commissions on government contracts.

Kishore claimed to be a documentary evidence of Ashok Chaudhary’s alleged inconsistent assets and demanded that the minister withdrew a legal defamation notice of Rs 100 crore and issued a public apology within seven days, when failed, he would extend the case with the Governor and the courts.
