Patna, 30 September (IANS) A delegation of Jan Suraj visited Raj Bhavan on Tuesday, to submit a memorandum to present a memorandum to submit a memorandum demanding action against Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and action on allegations of criminal allegations.
The delegation led by National President Uday Singh, State President Manoj Bharti, senior leader Rambali Chandravanshi and state general secretary Kishore Kumar was scheduled to meet Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.
However, despite a pre-determined appointment, the team was personally unable to meet the Governor and instead handed over a memorandum and a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Principal Secretary of the Governor.
Talking to the media outside Raj Bhavan, Uday Singh expressed confidence that the governors would send their demands to the center.
Singh said, “We are confident of the Central Government and Prime Minister Modi that action will be taken against Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and justice will be given.”
Jan Suraj alleged that Emperor Chaudhary – whose birth name has been claimed to be Rakesh Kumar – managed his age in legal documents to avoid prosecution in the 1995 Tarapur massacre case (Tarapur PS No. 44/1995), where six people were killed.
According to the memorandum, in 1996, the Emperor reportedly presented a false school certificate, claiming that he was a minor (less than 16) to claim bail.
In 1999, he was removed from the post of Agriculture Minister by the then Governor, after a petition he came to know that he was under 25 years of age, the minimum age for a minister.
In 2000, his election on the Perbatta Assembly seat was challenged, and in 2003 the Supreme Court ruled that the documents he had provided was fake to prove his age, leading to his election disability.
Despite this, he allegedly continued conflicting age announcements, stating that he was 51 in 2010 and 51 in 2020, while the Supreme Court comments show that if his 1996 claim was accurate, he should be less than 40 in 2020.
The memorandum claims that these discrepancies reveal a pattern of deception aimed at avoiding criminal allegations and maintaining political power.
Jan Suraj has demanded that Emperor Chaudhary be removed from the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
He should be arrested in the murder and robbery case.
The entire case is to be investigated under the supervision of the High Court to maintain public belief in the judicial system.
The deputy CM has previously denied all the allegations, he has been called an attempt to be politically motivated and in the media.
