The Nitish Kumar government in Bihar on Wednesday, December 3, presented the second supplementary budget of Rs 97,717 crore for the current financial year in the Assembly.
The budget was presented by Finance Minister Bijendra Yadav and is likely to be passed on Friday, the last day of the current session.
An amount of ₹51,253 crore has been earmarked for annual expenditure on the schemes, while ₹40,462 crore is for establishment and committed expenditure.
According to details of the proposed expenditure on the schemes, ₹21,000 crore has been allocated for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, under which ₹10,000 was paid to each woman.
Another ₹1,885 crore is for the old age pension scheme, whose beneficiaries get ₹1,100 per month. In August the payment quantum was increased from ₹400 to ₹1,100.
