Patna, Nov 25 (IANS) In a significant reshuffle of official residences in Bihar, the Building Works Department has ordered former minister Tej Pratap Yadav to vacate the bungalow allotted to him by the government at 26 M Strand Road.

This residence has now been allotted to Scheduled Caste and Tribe Welfare Minister Lakhendra Kumar Roshan.

The development comes on the same day as an order to vacate former chief minister Rabri Devi’s 10 Circular Road residence was issued, leading to speculation about Tej Pratap’s next move as he is already away from his mother’s house.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav has suffered several setbacks in recent months. His strained relations with the RJD leadership became public after a controversy arose over a personal photograph that went viral on social media. Although Tej Pratap claimed that his account was hacked, Lalu Prasad expelled him from the party and family for six years.

After the result, Tej Pratap launched his own political party, Janashakti Janata Dal and contested from Mahua seat in the assembly elections. However, his party failed to achieve any victory, which was a major political setback. The loss of his official residence now adds another challenge to his political trajectory.

With the formation of the new government under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Building Construction Department has allotted residences to 13 ministers. According to the latest order, 2 Strand Roads have been allotted to Industries Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, 4 Strand Roads to Information Technology and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh, 41 Harding Roads to Labor Resources Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger and 25 Harding Roads to Tourism and Art, Culture and Youth Minister Arun Shankar Prasad.

Road has been allotted.

The Building Construction Department clarified that all the previous house allotment orders have been modified as per the updated list, which has been approved by the competent authority.
