Bihar Election 2025: Jeetan Ram Manjhi says, '15' is ready to compromise on assembly seats

Union Minister Jeetan Ram Manjhi on Wednesday (October 8) indicated that he would like his four MLAs to contest “half” seats out of 243 assembly seats in Bihar, but they are ready to “compromise 15 seats” to avoid fighting against NDA colleagues.

The former Bihar Chief Minister posted a post on his X handle, which seemed inspired by a famous part of Ramdhari Singh Dinkar’s war poet “Rashmirathi”, in which Lord Krishna tried to establish peace with Duryodhana, which caused the Mahabharata’s epic war.

In particular, Manjhi is seeking at least 15 seats for us with this argument that his party will have to win at least eight seats to get “recognized” status from the Election Commission, which the organization has not got even after 10 years of establishment.

The BJP -led NDA in Bihar includes Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD (U), which Manjhi divided into HAM in 2015 and can get a large part. Other NDA’s associates in the state are Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha’s National Lok Morcha.
