Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar died on Wednesday morning when the private plane he was traveling in crashed during landing at Baramati airport.

Learjet 45 (VT-SSK), a chartered business jet, was reportedly on a regular flight from Mumbai to Baramati when it lost control while landing at around 8:10 am.

Officials confirmed that all five people were on board the plane -Ajit Pawar,

Two personnel (a PSO and an attendant), and two crew members (the pilot in command and the first officer) were killed.

Entrepreneurs, business leaders, actors and sports personalities reacted to the shocking and untimely demise of one of the leading figures in Maharashtra politics.
