Big Diwali gifts to Indians from PM Modi: BJP welcomed new GST rates, calls to support ‘Swadeshi’

New Delhi, 22 September (IANS) BJP on Monday welcomed the latest amendment to GST rates, calling it a “big gift” to the people of India before Diwali to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party took a step towards citizens to reduce a significant relief and inflation pressure for citizens. He appealed to Indians to support ‘indigenous (domestically made)’.

Talking to IANS, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, “We appeal to our citizens to support Swadeshi. Everyone is happy with the gift given by Prime Minister Modi. The benefits of the next-gene GST are reaching every citizen of the country directly.”

BJP MLA Ram Kadam also reacted and said, “Even before Diwali, PM Modi has given a huge gift to all citizens. GST has decreased on many products, reducing the financial burden on homes.”

Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma said that reforms have been obtained equally well by traders and consumers.

“The most happy is that all shopkeepers and customers are very happy. I congratulate the merchants of the market. The rates have been changed considerably. PM Modi has provided a lot of relief through GST cuts on many products. We are working on ‘every household indigenous’ campaign. This initiative will build jobs, especially for youth.”

BJP MLA Kirori Lal Meena also highlighted the importance of the move.

He said, “The relief given by PM Modi to the common people is a very important support. It will reduce the burden of inflation,” he said.

Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane praised the decision as “time and visionary”.

He said, “This step will strengthen our domestic markets and promote the confidence of common citizens. The Prime Minister’s decision will financially empower Indians and make a significant contribution to a self -sufficient India. It will be a milestone in the country’s economic progress and employment generation.”

BJP MLA Ashok Mohanty emphasized the impact of improvement on the middle class.

He said, “We welcome this step.

Union Minister of State for Home Minister Nitinand Rai also appreciated the move and said, “It is always my view that everyday essential items – the most commonly used things in daily life – should be available and easily available. The Prime Minister has reduced the burden for the poor and middle class, from kitchen to pockets. The goods will be available at very cheap prices now. It is a major relief for the common man.”

Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, “Improvements in GST are certainly done with the aim of simplifying the tax system and empowering society.”
