US President Joe Biden has warned that a second term for Donald Trump would mean a return to “chaos, division and darkness,” CNN reported. He highlighted the progress his administration has made during its first term.

“Four years ago, I ran because Donald Trump posed an existential threat to the America we all believed in,” Biden wrote in a statement. He spoke of the U.S.’s decline in employment, inflation under his administration. , prescription drug prices and progress on gun control.

He warned that the progress his administration has made would be at risk if Trump returns to the White House. The US president pointed out that Trump is driven by grievance and fraud and is focused on his own revenge and retribution.

Meanwhile, results continue to emerge as polls in some U.S. states close on Super Tuesday. More than a dozen states have more than a third of their total delegates in the Republican and Democratic primaries at risk.

CNN also predicted Biden would win the Oklahoma Democratic primary. As many as 36 sworn deputies are at risk in Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Biden is also expected to win the Democratic primaries in Virginia, Vermont and North Carolina, CNN reported. There are 16 pledged delegates at risk in Vermont’s Democratic primary.

As many as 116 pledged delegates are at risk in North Carolina, while 99 pledged delegates are at risk in Virginia’s Democratic primary.

The results are expected to solidify Donald Trump and Joe Biden as their respective parties’ nominees for the November election.

Notably, Super Tuesday is when the most states hold presidential primaries or caucuses. According to CBS News, 15 states held Republican races on Super Tuesday. Taking place in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia Primary election. Two states, Alaska and Utah, are holding caucuses.
