Bengaluru, October 10 (IANS) A bank manager was found dead in the bathroom of a pub in Bengaluru. Police gave this information on Friday.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating the matter.
The deceased was identified as Meghraj, 31, who was a bank manager at Jana Small Bank.
DCP (West) S. Girish said on Friday, “Last night (Thursday, October 9), a man named Meghraj, aged 31, had gone to a pub with his three friends at Bar 1522 located in RR Nagar police station area.
After finishing his meal and paying the bill, Meghraj went to the bathroom and the three friends left the bar.
DCP Girish said, “After waiting for a while, the three friends went upstairs again in search of Meghraj. After looking at the CCTV, it was found that he had gone to the washroom and locked himself inside. After breaking the door, it was found that he was dead.”
Scene of Crime Officers (SOCO) visited the spot along with the local police.
A case of unnatural death has been registered under Section 174 (C) of the BNS Act based on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Vinay. DCP Girish said that the exact cause of death will be known after postmortem investigation.
The deceased is survived by his wife and six-month-old child. Further investigation is ongoing.
On June 22, 2019, a marketing manager and his girlfriend died after accidentally falling from the window of a beer pub on Church Street while walking down the stairs. The deceased have been identified as Pawan Attavar, a marketing manager at a media house, and Veda R Yadav, a software engineer at an IT company.
The incident took place when the then Bengaluru Police Commissioner Alok Kumar was inspecting the pub and taking stock of the situation during a night visit with senior officials. Police found both of them soaked in blood and took them to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
