As of Sunday afternoon, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has received 43,069 BLA applications, while the BJP’s figure is 41,405.
However, even though the Trinamool Congress is ahead of the BJP in terms of the number of BLA-2 applications, the saffron camp is ahead of the state’s ruling party in terms of BLA-1 appointments.
As of Sunday afternoon, the CEO office has received 42,906 BLA-2 applications from the Trinamool Congress against the BJP’s figure of 41,067. In the same period, the CEO office had received 338 BLA-1 applications from the BJP, while the figure for the Trinamool Congress was just 163.
