The family of Bella Cooley, a pregnant British teenager, confirmed they paid $187,000 (£140,000) to a Georgian court on Tuesday to secure her release.
This follows his arrest earlier this year on drug trafficking charges.
Nineteen-year-old Ms Cooley, from Billingham, north-east England, was caught in Tbilisi airport upon their arrival in the South Caucasus nation in May,
His arrest came after a period when he was reported missing in Thailand. Georgian prosecutors allege that 12 kilograms of marijuana and 2 kilograms of hashish were found in his luggage.

Drug trafficking in Georgia is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Kulli is being held in a women’s prison in Rustavi, a town just outside Tbilisi.
Kuli’s mother, Liane Kennedy, told reporters outside the Tbilisi courthouse on Tuesday that the family had paid 500,000 lari ($186,846) and were waiting for the funds to be deposited into the corresponding government account.
Asked about his daughter’s health, Kennedy said, “She’s looking older, pregnant, but she looks strong.”
Coolie’s lawyer Malkhaz Salakia said the court would hold another hearing on the case next Monday.
