Sources said that Cricket Board Control (BCCI) in India announced the suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday. The tournament entered the decisive phase with the final scheduled for 25 May.
The development falls on the heels of the unfortunate incident on Thursday night at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium, where the high anticipated match between PBK and DC was closed. The audience was informed about the cancellation and asked to vacate the campus, while the two teams were taken back to their hotel.
Soon after, Punjab Kings confirmed development through their official social media handle, posting, “the match has been closed.” After the match was closed, fans were seen coming out of the stadium with a mantra of ‘Pakistan Murdabad’ slogans.

The Akash Air Defense Missile System is a medium-grain, surface-to-air missile system that provides field protection against mobile, semi-mobile and static weak forces and many aerial threats for regions. The system has state-of-the-art characteristics and cross-composition mobility.

Earlier on Thursday, the Indian Army shot over 50 Pakistani drones during a massive counter-drain operation with Loc and International Borders (IB), sources told ANI.
