Deepika Padukone is winning hearts around the world one international presence at a time. The actress is fresh from winning BAFTA 2024, where she presented an award in the spectacular Sabyasachi Saree, Her look has clearly been a hit with many people, at least one of whom had no idea – or rather, no idea – who she was. In a post on X, singer Dua Lipa was compared to Deepika’s looks. The caption of Deepika’s picture reads, “Don’t know who she is, but the girl loved that look.” Saree, “It’s okay if Dua doesn’t serve like this,” the post said. For those who aren’t well-versed with Internet slang, IDK means “I don’t know” and ISTG means “I swear to God.”
“Don’t know who she is,” repeated the X user when comments started identifying Deepika Padukone. “I don’t know, but that dress is everything,” the user responded to one comment, adding, “To see some random girl eat so bad and then in a plain black gown would be a blessing.” The word ‘random’ created panic. “Random? She’s the biggest IT girl in Bollywood,” replied angrily Native, with the advice to watch the actress’ previous appearances. Other reactions also came in the comments about Deepika’s achievements.
