Babur Salman kidnapped girl and ran away, police found him and his brother within 12 hours

New Tehri: A big news has come out of Kirtinagar in Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. According to information provided by the police, three persons were arrested in Kirti Nagar for allegedly molesting, abducting a minor girl and converting her. Tehri Senior Superintendent of Police Ayush Agarwal said on Wednesday that the accused barber Salman Ali Ishaan, 23, and his brother Shaan Malik, 24, were killed on Tuesday night He was arrested at Najibabad’s house in Uttar Pradesh.

“The girl’s mother has lodged a complaint”

SSP Aggarwal said Rakesh Negi, a local who helped the girl elope with the accused, has been arrested from Jakhani in Kirtinagar. It was revealed that it was Negi who called the girl from home and helped her escape with Salman and Shaan. The SSP said the mother of the 16-year-old girl had lodged a complaint regarding the incident with Kirtinagar police station on Monday evening. The girl is currently in grade 10. The girl’s mother, in her complaint, accused Salman of molesting her daughter and trying to convert her, police officials said.

“The girl went missing on the day the complaint was filed”

The police officer said that on the day the girl’s mother reported the case, the girl disappeared from her home at around 11 p.m. Agarwal said a team was formed immediately after his disappearance and based on the accused’s call details and CCTV footage analysis, they found him within about 12 hours. The police team recovered the girl safely from Mojampur Tulsi in the Najibabadgarhi police station area. Tehri Deputy Superintendent of Police JR Joshi said a case has been registered against the accused under the Uttarakhand Freedom of Religion Act and the POCSO Act.

Angry people hold rallies till Jakani

Let me tell you that after the girl disappeared, local people vandalized a store in a certain community on Tuesday. People’s anger was so great that they held rallies from Kirti Nagar main market to Jakani. In light of public outrage, adequate police presence was deployed in the market area and people were appealed to maintain peace.
