Various celebrities, industrialists and senior politicians will grace this historic event. The Ayodhya Development Authority expects three lakh tourists every day during the initial months after the inauguration. India’s top hotel chains are looking for a big business opportunity in the temple town. According to media reports, the average room rent in some hotels in the city has now exceeded Rs 85,000.

The demand for hotels has increased rapidly in Lucknow, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur, which are within a radius of 170 kilometers of Ayodhya Ram temple. Speaking to Moneycontrol, MD and Founder of Signet Hotels and Resorts said that all their rooms are booked for January. The average room rent in their hotels has exceeded Rs 85,000. Signet Collection KK has booked 45% of all its hotel rooms in Ayodhya for the temple trust so that VIPs can be accommodated there. All rooms at Signet Collection KK Hotel are already booked for January. Each of their rooms has been purchased at a price of around Rs 85,000, while some have even crossed this limit.

Radisson opened Park Inn in Ayodhya last week to tap the massive tourism opportunity in the temple town. The Radisson Park Inn hotel received a flood of bookings immediately after its launch. All hotel rooms have been booked for January 21-22. The hotel has not yet shared its room prices on any public platform. In view of the increasing tourism with the inauguration of the Ram temple, the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has also been emphasizing on the homestay model for the last few months, reports CNBC. These homestays have been identified and registered by the tourism department along with the development authorities of the city.
