Victoria’s premier Jacinta Allen said she was “deeply shocked, disappointed and embarrassed” after her husband was found drink driving After the collision.
The Australian state leader said Friday that her husband, Yorick Piper, was caught drink-driving and lost his license as a result.

Police said Mr Piper was fined and his license was suspended for three months from January 16.
“He made his own arrangements to leave his vehicle and left the scene on foot,” a police spokesperson said.
Police said they had not received any reports about the collision prior to Mr Piper’s random testing.
Ms. Allen condemned Drink driving an ‘incredibly serious issue’ and “road shock”.
“We recognize that and I’m truly sorry,” he said.
The premier said he and his family had celebrated his son’s birthday at a pub the night before and Mr Piper was taking medication which could have increased his blood alcohol content.
According to ABC News, he said, “As a result of mixing the drug with alcohol the night before, he should not have been driving the next morning.”
“He understands it, I understand it, and we’re both really sorry for it.”
She and her husband later donated $1,000 (£494) to Amber Community, a charity helping people affected by road trauma.
