Thiruvananthapuram, 6 October (IANS) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday strongly condemned the incident in which a person attempted to attack India’s Chief Justice Bra Gawai inside the Supreme Court and criticized the Sangh Parwar on the incident.
In a statement issued here, Chief Minister Vijayan claimed that the poisonous ideology of communal intolerance had also hit the highest seat of justice in the country today.
He said, “The poison of hatred sown by the Sangh Parivar has reached a point where he dare to express himself against the Chief Justice of India inside the Supreme Court,” he alleged.
The Chief Minister said that reports indicated that a person dressed as a lawyer had tried to throw an object in the Chief Justice of India, alleging that he was working against Sanatan Dharma.
CM Vijayan said, “This is not on one side as an emotional outbreak of an unbalanced person. It is a direct result of the poisonous communal propagation spread by Parvar of the Sangh,” said CM Vijayan.
He said that such incidents were not isolated, but are the results of a long, organized campaign of hatred, which has poisoned the mind.
He said, “RSS and its colleagues have created an atmosphere of intolerance and bigotry in a hundred years, which appears in violent and disgusting acts,” he said.
Referring to history, the Chief Minister said that the attack served as a serious reminder that the same communal fanaticism that runs Mahatma Gandhi’s killer still remains.
“What happened in the Supreme Court today is a cool warning. It cannot be mildly dismissed or seen as a solitary event. The aggressive, hatred-driven politics increased by the Union Parivar should be exposed and faced,” said Chief Minister Vijayan.
The Chief Minister urged that such developments be seen seriously, as they threaten not only individuals but also the very democratic and secular clothes of the nation.
Earlier, CJI Gawai allegedly decided that no action would be taken against a person dressed in a lawyer’s rebellion, who tried to throw an item on a bench led by CJI Gawai and tried to disrupt the proceedings in the Supreme Court on the first day a day.
Allegedly, the man approached the desses and allegedly tried to remove his shoes, but the security personnel immediately intervened and expelled him out of the court.
The proceedings were briefly interrupted, but the CJI remained composed by Gavai and continued without any break.
He said, “Don’t be distracted by all this. We are not distracted. These things do not impress me,” he said.
Later, sources confirmed that CJI Gawai had stated that the matter should be ignored and no further action should be initiated against the person concerned.
