Kolkata, 8 October (IANS) Suggested a “Title for TAT” strategy against the recurring incidents of attacks on BJP elected representatives in the state after Sukanta Majumdar, a political slugfest in West Bengal.
Talking to reporters at Siliguri in Darjeeling district on the first day, former state BJP chief Mazumdar mentioned BJP Lok Sabha member, Khagan Murmu and party’s leading witness in West Bengal Assembly, Holipper Destrinnd Destrend Destrend Destrend Destrend Destrend Destrinal Assembly on Monday. The workers, and said that if the police fails to work against the culprit behind the attacks, then there will be vengeance.
“If the police do not take action, there will be vengeance. The BJP has the strength in North Bengal. Nevertheless, it is time for the police to work against the culprits and arrest them,” said Mos Majumdar.
He also said that those who attacked the vehicles of Khagan Murmu and Shankar Ghosh on Monday were declaring themselves as “Didi’s soldiers (who are often referred to to the Chief Minister).
“His face was seen in the video footage, and the identity of many attackers has already been revealed. If the police do not take action against them, the BJP will be needed. It is unacceptable that the police will not work against the police after receiving their salary from taxpayers’ money.”
Reacting to the comments, the state spokesperson of the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, Arup Chakraborty said that if the BJP supporters work in a suggested manner by Majumdar, they will “play with fire”.
“I am asking BJP supporters not to play with fire and burn their hands. At the same time, Majumdar will have to take responsibility that if his stimulating statements declines in the law and order problem in West Bengal, Chakravarti said.
To remember, the vehicle of Khagan Murmu and Shankar Ghosh was attacked on Monday afternoon at Bamundanga in Jalpaiguri district, while they were on the way to Nagkata in the same district with relief material for the flood affected people.
While Murmu was seriously injured in that attack, Ghosh faced minor injuries again by Trinmool Congress supporters.
Both Murmu and Ghosh are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Siliguri in Darjeeling district.
Again again on Tuesday afternoon, BJP MLA Manoj Kumar Oran of Kumaragram constituency in Jalpaiguri-Adjest Alipuruduar district was allegedly attacked by Trinmool Congress workers, while he reached a village to reach a village under his constituency, which was to distribute relief materials for the affected people.
