MANILA, Philippines—Ateneo will have to face its remaining postseason games without the services of Gilas Pilipinas member Mason Amos.
Amos was on the Blue Eagles’ bench in their 61-60 defeat at the hands of Adamson, sporting a brace on his right knee.
Coach Tab Baldwin revealed his injury to be a right hyperextended knee. When Amos got the injury, however, was undisclosed.
“The doctors feel like there might be a little bit of damage to the quad muscle but I don’t think it’s anything to get too excited about,” Baldwin said.
Amos’ presence was missed by the Blue Eagles in the loss as they crashed to a 0-5 record and bowed out of preseason championship contention.
Prior to his injury, Amos posted averaged of 9.0 points and 7.0 rebounds.
On the other hand, Baldwin gave assurance that Amos would be fielded back into the lineup once he’s healthy.
“We will use him as soon as he’s healthy and use him as much as we can.”
