Srinagar, August 12: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday praised the security forces for avenge the Pahgam terror attack, claiming the lives of 26 innocent civilians.
During his address to the tricolor journey in Srinagar, LG Sinha, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that he called upon the citizens to honor the sacrifices made for the freedom and security of the country.
He said, “I want to pay tribute to those who gave us their lives to free us from royal colonialism, and the armed forces and police who avenged the Pahalgam attack and saved the nation. Our duty is to protect their hopes and aspirations,” he said.
He also said that for the last five years, the enthusiasm for the tricolor travel has only increased.
He said that the tricolor travel holds special significance as it aligns with the vision of ‘Vikas Bharat’ (developed India).
“From August 2, we started the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, and the energy we saw among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir were inspiring. We have resolved to stay for the tricolor and happily laid our life for our honor,” he said.
He also credited PM Modi to make busy efforts in realizing the dreams of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir- (KNO)
