a man who discovered asylum A hotel employee in Britain was seen dancing and laughing after being stabbed more than 20 times railway station A court hearing took place before he was left for dead.
Deng Chol Majek, a Sudanese asylum seeker The one who said he was 19 years old was caught cctv When he chased Rhiannon Skye out of the city’s Park Inn hotel walsallBescot Stadium station.
Wolverhampton Crown Court It was heard that Majek was “clearly excited about what he had done” after stabbing Ms Whyte on the station platform with a total of 23 knives, mainly to her head.
According to prosecutor Michelle Healy Casey, Ms Whyte, whose shift ended at 11pm, could be heard screaming during a phone call to a friend and was found by a train guard on the platform a few minutes later.
Opening the Crown’s case against Majek, Ms Healy told the court he had followed the 27-year-old from the hotel where he was staying.

Ms Healy said: “He followed her onto the train platform at Bescot Stadium station and then he attacked her. Stabbed at her repeatedly with a screwdriver.
“He left her bleeding and then casually walked back to his hotel. We say you can rest assured that he is guilty of murder.”
Ms White had worked at the hotel for three months, helping with things including cleaning and serving food, while the defendant lived in room 309.
The prosecutor said that a co-worker of Ms. White’s had seen the defendant staring at her and a woman she was working with.
“No one remembered any particular issue that caused him to act this way. There was an issue with some residents about some broken biscuits but nothing serious.

“What is clear from the CCTV is that the defendant was wandering around the reception area, stalking Rhiannon throughout the evening. He changed into a distinctive jacket and sandals and then waited around the reception area where Rhiannon was,” Ms Healey said. “The CCTV tracked the defendant all the way. It followed him from the hotel to the station.
“He waited for her to leave and waited until she was alone before coming after her.”
Ms White’s friend heard the screams and called the police, who contacted the hotel, which sent a member of staff to the station. The train Rhiannon was supposed to catch stopped at 11.24pm and the driver saw a man lying on the platform. He died three days after the attack.
Ms Healy added: “The defendant did not go straight back to the hotel, he went to a local shop and first bought himself a drink, arriving back at the hotel just 13 minutes after midnight.” “Between the station and the hotel he threw Rhiannon’s phone in a river. Once at the hotel he was seen dancing and laughing, he was clearly excited by what he had done.”
As well as CCTV footage, Ms Whyte’s DNA was found under the defendant’s fingernails. The prosecutor said: “She has his blood on her clothes, her DNA under her fingernails. She suffered injuries where she tried to defend herself.”
Majek denies murder and possession of a screwdriver as an offensive weapon. The lawsuit is ongoing.
