Astronauts return to Earth with SpaceX after 5 months at the International Space Station

Four astronauts returned to Earth on Saturday Husting for International Space Station Five months ago to give relief Stuck test pilot Starlineer of Boeing.

His SpaceX capsules paracted the Pacific from the Southern California coast a day after leaving the orbiting lab.

“Welcome Home,” SpaceX Mission Control Radio.

The bottom was NASA’s Anne McClane and Nicole Aars, Japan’s Takua Onashi and Russia’s Kiril Peskov. He launched NASA’s replacement for two astronauts in March Starlineer’s bottled demo.

Starlineer’s malfunction kept Buch Wilmor and Sun. Williams at the space station for more than nine months instead of a week. NASA ordered Boeing’s new crew capsules to be evacuated and converted the pair into SpaceX. He soon left for McClane and its crew to take their place. Willmore has Retired from NASA,

Before leaving the space station on Friday, McClane focused on “some time on earth” with those struggling.

“We want this mission, our mission, remind me what people can do when we work together, when we search together,” he said.

McClane was ready to “do nothing for a few days” back in Houston. High in the wishlist of its crew: Hot Shower and Juicy Burger.

This was SpaceX’s third Pacific Splashdown, with people on the board, but the first to the crew of NASA in 50 years. Elon Musk’s company switched the capsule returns from Florida to the coast of California earlier this year to reduce the risk of falling debris on populated areas. Back-to-back was the first to experience private crew Prashant Homcoming.

Last time NASA’s astronauts returned from space to the Pacific, during the Apollo-Suyuz Mission of 1975, a meat-up in Americans and Soviet Union orbits.
