Assam Rifles provides skill training to 56 youth in Manipur

Officials said on Saturday that for the convenience of safe employment to Imphal, October 4 (IANS), Assam Rifles has provided skill development training to 56 youths in the Imphal Valley region of Manipur.

Out of 56 youth, 48, including 30 women, got jobs in private hotels and other organizations in Mumbai, Jaipur and Delhi.

A defense spokesperson said that Assam Rifles implicated the successful participants of their skill development program 4.0 in Kaimpat in Imphal on Saturday.

These participants have been empowered by Assam Rifle as part of their civil action initiative in the Imphal Valley.

The spokesperson stated that the skill development program was jointly conducted by Assam Rifles and we take care of the skill solution (an impal -based organization, expertise in skill development).

In this program, 56 youth have been provided training on hospitality and retail, which has enabled them to secure employment in reputed hotels across the country.

The Felicitation ceremony was explained by the Director of Dig, Assam Rifles and an NGO who had economically supported the event.

The spokesman said that in the incident, successful participants (18 boys and 30 girls) were awarded certificates from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and handed over their proposal letters.

These youth have been employed by various organizations and hotels in various parts of the country including Mumbai, Jaipur and Delhi.

They will soon move forward to take their new appointments for Jaipur, Delhi and Mumbai.

As part of the skill development program, the students went through a twelve -week vocational training, which enhanced their employment and empowered them for a bright future.

Addressing the participants, he appreciated the excavation, Assam Rifles, their dedication and hard work, highlighted the transformational role of skill development in shaping their future.

He highlighted the ability and talent of the Manipuri youth and inspired the participants to be the ‘brand ambassador’ of the rich culture and legacy of the state.

This is the fourth skill development program organized by Assam Rifles since June 2024.

An official said that unique efforts of Assam Rifles have enabled about 200 youth to secure employment and adopt on the path of respectable livelihood.

On Saturday, the Felicitation ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of the participants, but also strengthened the commitment of Assam Rifles for the socio-economic development of the region, the spokesperson said.
