Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, representing the Hindu side in the case, while reading the report of the survey by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), said that a large Hindu temple existed before the construction of the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi.

“All the items discovered were documented. There was no damage to the structure. Based on scientific studies, pillars from the previous structure have been used in the current structure. The pre-existing structure was there,” Jain told reporters.

Based on the court order, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) report on the Gyanvapi Mosque was provided to both the Hindu and Muslim parties.

Speaking to CNN-News18, lawyer Hari Shankar Jain, appearing for the Hindu side, said, “We are very fortunate to get the copy of the ASI survey,” adding that both sides will get the copy of the report by today or Thursday.

“Everyone should know what is in the ASI survey,” he said.

Hari Shankar Jain said that as per the instructions of the court, hard copies of the report will be given to both the parties.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, representing the Hindu side, was quoted by ANI as saying, “Today, the court heard both the sides and there was a consensus that the hard copy of the ASI report will be provided to both the parties… ASI objected to providing Expressed.” Report via email. Therefore, both parties agreed to receive the hard copy of the report.

“As soon as the court passes the order, our legal team will apply for a certified copy,” he said.

An ASI official said that the report will probably be given tomorrow (Thursday). “The application cannot be filed after 12 noon,” the official said.

Hari Shankar Jain said, “There is no restrictive order that the copy cannot be shared with the public.”

Jain said he was confident that the report would confirm that it was a temple and a temple should be built there.
