Chandigarh, 6 October (IANS) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said on Monday that the government will raise the matter of remembrance of the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur as Human Rights Day with the Government of India.
The Chief Minister batted here, interacting with the Sant Samaj, to observe the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur at the national level.
He clearly stated that it would help in promoting secularism, communal harmony and ethos of brotherhood, adding ninth guru was a symbol of socialism and secularism as he sacrificed his life to preserve human rights in the country.
Mann said that as Human Rights Day, the observation of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom day will be a humble tribute to this great Sikh Guru and will carry forward the relationship between people on the other, because the life and philosophy of the Sikh master is a light for the whole of humanity.
The Chief Minister also said that the government will also find out the viability of construction of Guru Tegh Bahadur Marg on the route adopted by Guru Sahib while going to Delhi, where Guru-J was martyred.
He said that PWD and Punjab Mandi Board will eat in this regard to make Blooprint as a humble tribute to Guru Saheb.
Mann said that even the state government will take up the matter to pursue this route to Gurdwara Sesh Ganj Sahib in Delhi with the central government.
The Chief Minister also announced the formation of a committee to include the life and philosophy of Guru Sahib in the school curriculum. He said that any kind of objectionable materials that are not in dishes with Sikh sentiments will also be immediately removed from the heritage e Khalsa Museum.
Maan also reiterated the government’s firm commitment to enforce an anti-anti-anti-anti-law to ensure exemplary punishment for criminals of this heinous crime.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister informed the Sant Samaj that the government is organizing a series of memorial programs to inspect the 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Tegh Bahadur.
He said that these works will start from Gurdwara Sesh Ganj Sahib in Delhi on 25 October, and from November 1, Kirtan Darbars will be organized across the state.
Similarly, Mann said that the seminar on the sacrifice of life, philosophy and Guru Sahib will be held from November 15 in every educational institution of the state.
