Arne Slott has pointed out liverpoolTheir vulnerability to crosses is a significant part of their recent losing streak.
The Reds boss has discussed what his team can do to improve their form and maintain momentum in the Premier League title race after three consecutive defeats.
And Slott has looked at the way his team has conceded goals, highlighting the propensity for opponents to score from set-pieces.
“I think what we can say is that if we compare to last season, we didn’t create as many chances but had the highest xG, chances and shots on goal but we conceded a lot of goals,” Slott said.
“With nine goals and four set pieces, it’s not a reflection of the chances we gave. The other five were fast breaks, three were from open play.
“Conceding a lot of crosses, we have to address it and get better. Like Virgil.” [Van Dijk] I think what he means is that teams are facing us in different ways.

“I’ve said the same thing, the number of long balls compared to last season is already a third of what it was last season after seven games. We have to find answers.”
Slott also analyzed United’s test run and how Ruben Amorim’s side could pose a threat.
“I’m looking forward to Man Utd even more, I know what a special game it is,” Slott said. “The most watched show across the world, to be a part of it is so special that we have to be at our best.
“United have had a better start up the table, so a very interesting game, especially when it’s at Anfield. The fans have always been supportive. A team that has lost 3 in a row, we need to be ready but the fans need to help us and they will help us.”

According to Slote, while Alexander Isak is now getting closer to full fitness, there is a selection dilemma over integrating the Swedish striker with Hugo Ekiti.
“He’s had five or six weeks of pre-season which is normal,” he said. “Fitness-wise he is close to the level and we can assess objectively from now on. I know how this industry works, if he plays twice and doesn’t score, it is not what you want.
“But he didn’t and I think his pre-season is probably over now, he’s played a few games, 70-80 minutes. So let’s see where he is.”
