New Delhi, Oct 10 (IANS) In a spirited initiative to connect with the youth and promote careers in the armed forces, the Army has conducted an outreach program in Assam, which saw the participation of NCC cadets from four districts of the state.
The event held on 10 October was organized by Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Narangi, under the aegis of Zonal Recruiting Office (ZRO) Shillong, at the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-110) and Youth Adventure and Motivational Session (YAMS) of 5 Assam NCC Battalion.
The program saw active participation of 425 NCC cadets from four districts of Assam – Biswanath, Sonitpur, Udalguri and Darrang.
A major highlight of the program was a session on Operation Sindoor, designed to educate the cadets on decisive and courageous actions of the Indian Armed Forces.
The session emphasized the strength, resilience and operational capabilities of the Army, leaving a lasting impact on the young minds.
“After the session, a motivational lecture was delivered which gave the cadets a broad perspective about life in the armed forces and the many career opportunities available,” an Army official said.
“The interactive format encouraged cadets to directly engage with the ARO team, allowing them to clear doubts and gain first-hand information about recruitment processes and service life,” the officer said.
The outreach program was effectively conducted by the Director and team of ARO Orange, who ensured that the program remained engaging, informative and inspirational throughout.
This initiative not only instilled a deep sense of patriotism among the cadets but also strengthened the relationship of the Army with the youth of the area.
Such programs continue to play an important role in guiding and inspiring the next generation towards respect, service and nation-building.
This initiative not only dispelled misconceptions about Army recruitment but also served as a strong motivational platform, inspiring cadets to aspire to a life of service, discipline and honour.
