ariana grande Replied to her evil: doing good Co-star Cynthia Erivo was snubbed by the Actors Awards (formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards).

Erivo, 39, who plays green-skinned witch Elphaba in the sequel to the hit musical, was nominated for the award last year for her performance Hand in the first one evilbut was absent from this year’s nomination list.

The film’s director, John M Chu, was also absent from the Directors Guild of America Awards nominations.

“That can’t be taken away.”

The actress and pop star went on to insist that her snubbed collaboration deserved “flowers” despite a lack of recognition from awards bodies.

“That’s why I say every good thing that happens to me belongs to them too,” she added. “None of this exists in isolation. We keep each other informed every day. Of course, it’s hard – they deserve all the flowers that grow in this world.”

The Screen Actors and Directors Guild Awards are often seen as a big harbinger in the lead-up to the Academy Awards, and the Oscar voting body overlaps significantly with these groups.

Jessie Buckley is currently a favorite for the award for her performance in a literary adaptation Hamnet.
