davos [Switzerland]January 24 (ANI): At the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2025, Archana Jahagirdar, Managing Partner at Rukam Capital, highlighted India’s emerging entrepreneurship and its growing global presence.

She said: “We have more than 100 unicorns in the country. You see all the old startups here in Davos. But now it’s time to see Indian investors and startups here because that’s new India.”

Her announcement reflects the confidence and ambition driving India’s emergence as a global innovation powerhouse, positioning its startups and investors as a focal point in shaping the future economy.

The India Pavilion has been busy with activity, with Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and other South Indian states vying for investment opportunities.

These states are showcasing their unique offerings to senior executives from global companies, underscoring their potential as key investment destinations.

The Indian delegation included five union ministers and three state chief ministers, reflecting a unified approach. Cutting across party lines, leaders united to demonstrate the cohesion of India’s growth story.

Nearly 100 CEOs and leaders from government, civil society and the arts gathered to highlight India’s economic resilience and innovation.

At the India pavilion, states like Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have put forward their industrial strengths, while Telangana and southern states have showcased their technological and infrastructural capabilities.

These efforts are aimed at attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) in key sectors such as green energy, technology, healthcare and manufacturing.

The WEF Annual Conference, taking place from January 20 to 24, 2025, provides Indian leaders with unparalleled opportunities to interact with global policymakers and investors. The theme present here this year for India is its ability to lead on global issues, from clean energy to digital transformation.

Jahagirdar’s emphasis on Indian startups in Davos reflects growing confidence in the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. India is home to more than 100 unicorns and has emerged as a global innovation hub with the support of government policies and private investment. (ANI)
