It’s been more than three months since Apple launched its M3-powered MacBook Pro models. MacBook Air models equipped with the same chipset were notably absent. However, that may soon change as Apple is reportedly preparing to introduce a revised MacBook Air featuring the M3 chipset, which is expected in late March, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
These models are expected to replace the existing M2-powered MacBook Air 13-inch and 15-inch models. Additionally, it is reported that they are already in mass production overseas.
As for the design, specific details are uncertain at this time. However, it is notable that Apple has introduced a new design with the M2-powered models, which suggests that the chances of a redesign for upcoming models are relatively low, if any. Still, with Apple, no one can rule out the possibility.
Additionally, similar to the existing MacBook Air lineup, the new M3 MacBook Air may also be available in two sizes: a 13-inch variant and a 15-inch model, catering to multiple use cases.
New iPad Pro models are also expected
In his PowerOn newsletter, Gurman wrote that Apple’s next-generation iPad Pro will also launch in March and called it “the biggest improvement ever” to the iPad Pro.
These new iPad Pro models are expected to feature OLED panels, switching from LCD and mini-LED in the outgoing model with the M2 chip. Also, in line with the existing MacBook Pro lineup, they will feature the M3 chip.
