Any misunderstanding in Sir Creek, will invite reconsideration response: Defense Minister Singh warns Pakistan

Bhuj (Gujarat), 2 October (IANS) Defense Minister Rajnath Singh issued a strict warning to Pakistan on Thursday, announced that any misconception in the Sir Creek region will invite a “spectacular response” that can change both history and geography.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was at Bhuj Airport on the occasion of Vijayadashami, where he performed scripture worship.

Recalling India’s military skills in the 1965 war, Defense Minister Singh said, “The Indian Army demonstrated its ability to reach Lahore. Today, in 2025, Pakistan must remember that a route in Karachi passes through Creek.”

Referring to ‘Operation Sindoor’, Defense Minister Singh said that Pakistan had tried unsuccessfully to dissolve India’s defense systems from Leh to Sir Creek. “In our ventilative action, Indian forces completely exposed the Pakistani air defense system. ‘Operation Sindoor’ has sent a clear message to the world – whenever, wherever, and however it desires it, can suffer heavy losses,” he said.

The Defense Minister underlined that despite India’s capabilities, restraint was used.

He said, “Our operation was directed against terrorism, not to increase the situation in war. I am satisfied that the armed forces achieved all the objectives of ‘Operation Sindoor’. But our fight against terrorism is over,” he said.

On the Sir Creek dispute, Defense Minister Singh said that the matter has been going on for 78 years since independence.

“India has always sought resolve through dialogue, but Pakistan’s intentions are doubtful. Its recent military infrastructure build-up near Sir Creek exposes its designs. Let me clarify this-any aggression in the field will be completed with a crushed reaction.”

Recalling Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary, he said that Gandhiji is a symbol of the highest morale without weapons. “Our soldiers have both morale and weapons. No force can cope with them,” he said.

He also called upon Goddess Durga during scripture worship, prayed for strength and courage for the armed forces.

Defense Minister Singh said, “Indian Army, Air Force and Navy are three pillars of our strength.

He emphasized that honoring weapons is the same for honoring our soldiers. This is not only the strength of our resolve that matters, but also to the devices that we have to maintain that resolution. Therefore, he said, scripture worship is given equal importance – as a symbol of preparations, respect and national pride.
