Both were taken to hospital, where doctors declared Arbaaz (right) dead
New Delhi:
A man was shot dead and another injured in northeast Delhi’s Seerampur area on Saturday night, police said.
The alleged attack occurred at 8:45 p.m. Arbaaz and Abid suffered multiple gunshot wounds, a police officer said.
The victim, aged between 25 and 30 years old, was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared Arbaaz dead, the official said.
He added that Abid has been admitted to GTB Hospital and his condition is said to be critical.
North East police deputy commissioner Joy Tirkey said a murder case was being registered.
Arbaaz faces a criminal case and Abid’s record is being examined, he said.
CCTV camera footage is being analyzed and other inputs are being checked to identify the gunman, he added.
Another police officer said the possibility of a gang war could not be ruled out.
