Another Indian student in the US, Shreyas Reddy, was found dead in Cincinnati, Ohio, the third such case in a week.
However, the cause of his death remains unknown.

The Indian Consulate in New York expressed regret over the incident and said it was in touch with his family and providing them all possible assistance.
“Deeply saddened by the tragic death of Mr. Shreyas Reddy Benigri, an Indian student from Ohio. The police are investigating. There is no suspicion of foul play at this stage. The Consulate General will continue to be in touch with the family and The scope of investigation is being expanded. “All possible assistance is being provided to them,” the Indian Consulate in New York said in a post.

Notably, this is the third death of an Indian student within a week after Vivek Saini and Neel Acharya.
Acharya, a Purdue University student, was confirmed dead on Jan. 30, according to the Tippecanoe County Coroner.
Officers were called to the area of 500 Allison Road in West Lafayette to search for a possible body, according to the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office. Upon arrival, a “college male” was found dead on the Purdue University campus.

On January 29, another Indian student was beaten to death repeatedly with a hammer by a homeless man in a store in Lithonia, Georgia.
Video of the incident went viral on social media, but the date of the incident could not be confirmed.
According to reports, the man who attacked Seni was a homeless man. A source familiar with the matter told ANI that the police took decisive action based on the eyewitness evidence in the case and made the arrest quickly.
The person added that the victim was an Indian citizen and his body was returned to Vivek’s family in India on January 24.
