Washington – The Canadian Ambassador to the United States says that the business has made a lot of progress with his American counterparts – President Donald Trump today despite the decision to promote tariffs on Canada.
Kirsten Hillman, who also works with the US as Canadian’s top dialogue, says that there was a professional and creative conversation with Trump’s team in a week.
But finally, Hillman says, the correct deal for Canada was not on the table.
While Trump’s latest tariffs appear staggering, Hillman says that it is important to remember that the business is in line with the goods under the Canada-US-Maxico agreement.
She says that Canada keeps a better position than almost any other country.
Hillman says that he is not discouraged from increased duties and talks with the Trump administration.
