Andy Cohen faces backlash for getting drunk live on air on New Year’s Eve

This is very sad and very disrespectful to the memory of the class brought by Dick Clark on New Year’s Eve.

I realize Andy Cohen didn’t replace Dick Clark, Ryan Seacrest did, but for some strange reason CNN keeps sending Andy Cohen over there every year and it gets worse every year.

At least that’s my opinion, see what you think:

Thank God he added captions to that video because honestly, I couldn’t understand a single word of what he was saying because there was so much ambiguity in his words.

This is disgusting CNN, put it on the air.

Bring back someone with class.

Even his friend Anderson Cooper is embarrassed by him and tries to hide it.

Speaking of Anderson Cooper, here’s how bad it got in 2023:

Andy Cohen, The Vanderbilts and Don Lemon…NYE Update

As part of an annual tradition, we have to check in with CNN and find out just how drunk Andy Cohen and his pals The Vanderbilts were on live TV on New Year’s Eve…

It has been going from bad to worse for the last few years.

Funny, I don’t ever remember Dick Clark dropping shot after shot live on air, do you remember?

Perhaps that is why he lived till the age of 1000 years.

Meanwhile, Andy Cohen wanted to even out the numbers by making up for Dick Clark’s lost time.

But this year?

Not that I was looking, but checking Twitter the next day it appears CNN has banned Andy and Vanderbilt.

No drinks allowed this year.

Kevin Hart was not happy about this:

It seems he was forced to do mystery shots instead of alcohol:

Very classy.

Bring back Dick Clark!

Even Andy’s parents say they’re moving out:

Maybe they didn’t want to see garbage like this:

Live discussion on NYE television about drinking and vasectomy.

Our world is getting worse day by day.

Here’s what last year looked like:

Don Lemon was also banned, probably because he had done this the previous year:

Or maybe because last year he said “No broke dick” to some woman 5 times on live broadcast.

Stay classy CNN.

Bring back Dick Clark!

Here’s Lemon telling us “don’t get it twisted”:

Andy Cohen attacks Bill DeBlasio in drunken NYE rant

I don’t know whether to love it or be horrified by it or a little bit of all of the above.

I do know this: We didn’t know how good we had it all those years when a classy Dick Clark hosted the ball drop every year.

No drunken ranting, no foul language, just class.

Now?

Well, now we have Andy Cohen and Vanderbilt hosting the event and it being aired.

This led to an incredible moment where Andy Cohen, who was clearly badly intoxicated at this point, began drunkenly ranting about outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio.

To keep an eye:

Even Vanderbilt seemed very uncomfortable and tried to pull Cohen back but to no avail.

But it was entertaining and one can’t disagree with what he said:

To be fair, Cohen did announce ahead of time that he planned to drink a ton of drinks that evening:

I’m sure Betty is very happy with this drunken farewell.

So how much did they have?

Well, thanks to @59Dallas, we have a counter:

What’s funny is that this isn’t the first time Cohen has criticized DeBlasio live on air on New Year’s Eve.

Remember last year?

what’s here New York Post Had to say:

An animated Andy Cohen didn’t mince words when telling viewers of CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live” coverage what he thinks of former Mayor Bill de Blasio, who was replaced by Mayor Eric Adams after the ball dropped.

Cohen leaned into the camera and was nearly interrupted by co-host Anderson Cooper as he lashed out at the ex-mayor — despite Cooper pleading with the Bravo personality not to “exaggerate.”

“Do your victory lap dance after the worst four-year term as mayor of New York,” Cohen stammered, failing to change the subject. A frustrated Cooper shook his head and repeated “Wow” in disbelief.

“The only thing Democrats and Republicans can agree on is what a terrible mayor he has been. So, sayonara sucks!”

Cohen himself admitted today that this eluded him somewhat:

RIP Dick Clark, you are missed more than ever before.

Hey Andy, if you really want to burn DeBlasio, how about covering this story?

Sure, his dancing is bad, but $850 million is missing.

Big story?
