According to the Times of India (TOI), the deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Rajyalakshmi (Raji) Yarlagadda, a recent graduate from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, who was actively looking for employment.
On the morning of 7 November, she reportedly failed to respond to her alarm clock. Later in the day, his friends checked on him and found that he had died in his sleep, according to TOI.
Health problems before death
According to her cousin Chaitanya YVK, who launched the GoFundMe raiser from Denton, Texas, Raji was suffering from intense cough and chest pain for the last two to three days before her death.
Recalling her aspirations, she said Raji had moved to America with the hope of changing her family’s financial future.

“She was a bright, hopeful soul who dreamed of helping her parents continue their farming journey,” he wrote in the fundraiser.
The family is dependent on farming, debt increases the burden
Raji belonged to a farming family from Karmchedu village of Bapatla. His family’s income depends entirely on agricultural land, livestock and seasonal crops.
As the youngest child, she was determined to secure a stable career to support her parents, who were reportedly managing her education loans.
Indian community came forward
Members of the Indian diaspora in Texas have come forward offering support to expedite the repatriation process. The Indian Consulate is also expected to provide assistance with formalities.
On the other hand, the cause of death has not been known yet. According to TOI, medical authorities in the US have started an investigation to determine the exact cause.
