Amaravati, October 22 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said the state government is giving priority to green energy, technology, data centers and Quantum Valley.
Saying that Andhra Pradesh has introduced several industry-friendly policies, he said Google has come forward to invest in the state.
The Chief Minister also said that there are abundant opportunities for investment in the food processing industry in Andhra Pradesh.
He was speaking during a meeting with Indian diplomats in Dubai on the first day of his three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attract investments and invite global industry giants for the CII Partnership Summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15.
Chandrababu Naidu was given a grand welcome by a large number of people from the Telugu community, including women and entrepreneurs, at the Dubai airport on Wednesday, according to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) here.
Later, the Chief Minister met Indian Embassy charge d’affaires A Amarnath and Dubai Consul General Satish Sivan. Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Satish Sivan said that the UAE has a partnership with India in trade and technology, and mutual investments between the two countries have further strengthened the relationship.
He said that Indians are also coming forward to invest in UAE in a big way, which is paving the way for growth in trade. He said India has become a destination for the knowledge economy and the UAE is spending more on technology and focusing on the non-oil economy. He informed that the UAE established a separate ministry for Artificial Intelligence in 2017.
Amarnath, in-charge of the Indian Embassy, said that UAE has so far invested 23 billion dollars in India and has got 50 percent return in three years. He said the UAE is keen to invest in education, health, green energy and food parks in India.
On this occasion, Chief N Chandrababu Naidu said that relations between India and UAE have strengthened further in the last 10 years.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited many countries while promoting India, which has resulted in deepening of relations between India and many countries. He predicted the increasing importance of Indians as many countries suffer from the aging factor.
Ministers BC Janardhan Reddy, TG Bharat and officials accompanied the Chief Minister.
