Amravati, September 18 (IANS) The Andhra Pradesh Assembly session, which started on Thursday, will continue till 30 September.
There will be holidays for home on 20, 21 and 28 September. Every day, the house will work from 10 am to 5 pm
The decision was taken in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting, which was chaired by Chairman Ayana Patrudu.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Minister of Legislative Affairs Payavula Keshav, and Civil Supplies Minister Nadandla Manohar, who represent the Jan Army and the BJP, attended the meeting.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which is leading the coalition government, proposed 18 issues for discussion in the House. The BJP proposed nine issues.
The Chief Minister directed the ministers to appear in the House during question hours and zero hours.
According to the decisions taken in the BAC, the assembly will discuss the Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms later in the day.
There will be a debate on water resources on 19 September and law and order on 22 September.
The BAC decided to discuss public health on 23 September, Industry on 24 September, Super -6 on 25 September, Quantum Valley on 26 September, Logistics on 27 September, Swarnadhara on 29 September and Rayalasima on 30 September on the development of Rayalasima, coastal region and northern Andhra.
The YSR Congress party, the only opposition party, did not attend the BAC meeting as the party continues to stay away from the assembly session on the demand of the leader of the opposition situation to its leader and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said last week that there is no point in attending the assembly session unless he is given the status of opposition (LOP) of the leader.
He reiterated that there is no point in participating in the assembly session until the appropriate situation is given. He said that the party will get enough time to increase people’s issues, if it gets the status of the main opposition.
The voice of the people should be raised by the opposition party, and if they do not respect democracy, it is a lack of knowledge, they commented.
The YSRCP chief also mentioned that the case related to the LOP status is pending in the High Court.
Jagan filed a petition in July last year, demanding direction to nominate the state government as LOP.
The Legislative Council session also started on Thursday.
