Amravati, 5 October (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday ordered an inquiry into the death of a one -and -a -half -year -old boy at a government -run childcare center in Anantapur and ill to make 85 girl students sick at a residential center in Parvathipuram.
The Chief Minister said about both the incidents, women and child welfare and tribal welfare. Talked to the minister of Sandhya Rani.
He ordered the officials to investigate the incidents and submit a report.
CM Naidu questioned the minister about the incident at Kurupam in Meenam district, where 85 students of the girls’ residential school were made sick. He inquired about the steps being taken by the officials.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, Minister Sandhya Rani met the students who are undergoing treatment at KGH Hospital in Visakhapatnam.
He informed the Chief Minister that the District Collector and senior officials of the Tribal Welfare Department were going to Parvatipuram Hospital to know the health status of those passing through treatment.
The Chief Minister also spoke to Minister Sandhya Rani on the death of a child at a childcair center in Anantapur on 2 October.
Allegedly, disputes between the employees negligence in feeding the infant, resulting in a sad death. The body was allegedly buried in a hurry without informing senior officials.
On September 30, a woman from Kalyanddurg handed over her child and child welfare department to her child, which cited financial difficulties, which stopped her from taking care of her. Low weight baby was receiving treatment for health complications.
The child allegedly suffered diarrhea on Dasra (2 October) and died. The officials of Sheshu Gruha informed the District Collector and ICDS Project Office of the Death through WhatsApp and completed the funeral the next morning.
Shishu Gruha’s manager and ‘Ayaha’ convicted each other for the incident. The ICDS Project Officer issued a memo to the manager and Ayahs.
Meanwhile, District Collector O. Anand has ordered an inquiry. He formed a three -member committee, in which District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr. EB Devi, Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Project Director M. Nagamani and Government General Hospital (GGH) were pediatric Hod.
The collector said that the committee has been asked to submit a comprehensive report. He said that on the basis of the report, action will definitely be taken against those responsible.
