An old farmer from Xiangbu border died of heart disease

A 63-year-old farmer, one of the farmers protesting at the Shambhu border near Ambala in Haryana, died of a heart attack on Friday, officials said.

Gyan Singh complained of chest pain in the morning and was admitted to Civil Hospital in Rajpura, Punjab. From there, he was taken to Rajendra Hospital in Patiala where doctors declared him dead, they said.

Singh, who hails from Punjab’s Gurdaspur district, came to the Shambhu border two days ago to join the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ march aimed at urging the government to accept their demands, including a minimum support price (MSP) law for farmers Assure. crop.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha called for a procession.

The farmers started their march on Tuesday and have been camping at the Shambhu and Khanauri borders of Punjab and Haryana since then.

The third round of talks between farmer union leaders and the government on Thursday remained inconclusive. The next round of talks will take place on Sunday.
