Amy Schumer, star of the comedy “Live and Bess,” has been making headlines recently, not because of the show but because of a noticeable change in her appearance. Her puffy face came into the spotlight after appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The View. The actress took to social media to address the speculations. A viral clip of her appearance on the talk show sparked mixed reactions from fans, with some concerned about her change in appearance while others trolled her. However, Schumer responded sarcastically on Instagram and thanked those who shared their thoughts on her face. During the chat, she bravely opened up about her ongoing battle with endometriosis and emphasized that she still feels strong and beautiful despite her health challenges.

Talking about the same, she wrote: “Thank you all so much for your comments on my face. I like all women for almost 20 years now and love receiving feedback and thoughtful thoughts on my appearance and you are right I More puffy than normal now. I have endometriosis, an autoimmune disease that every woman should read about. There are some medical and hormonal issues going on in my world right now, but I’m okay .Historically, women’s bodies have had little medical research compared to men’s. The book “It’s All In Her Mind” explains this very well. I also believe that women don’t need to find anything wrong with their appearance. Excuses, no explanations needed. But I want to take this opportunity to advocate for self-love and acceptance of your situation.”

Amy Schumer further said that like everyone else, her confidence levels fluctuate. Some days she felt confident and wonderful, and other days she felt less confident. Despite comments about her face, Schumer emphasized that she feels strong and beautiful and expressed pride in the TV show “Life and Beth,” which she created, wrote, performed in, and directed. In her post, she turned the focus to her accomplishments rather than her appearance. Schumer joked that even though she had backup dancers during her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” her face made headlines.

Amy Schumer has been open about her battle with endometriosis, having previously shared her experience on social media. She documented that she underwent surgery to remove her uterus and appendix as a result of the disease. She later spoke about endometriosis in the 2023 Netflix special “Contact,” where she used humor when discussing the disease.

Meanwhile, the second season of Amy’s show Life with Beth officially premieres on Hulu on February 16, starring opposite Michael Cera.
